Richard Herring - the Twelve Tasks of Hercules Terrace
Avalon Promotions

In what must be the most productive mid-life crisis ever witnessed, Richard Herring sets out to equal or better Hercules's tasks of heroism. Largely ignoring the classical method of cutting the heads off everything in sight, Herring creates his own legend of self-affirmation, complete with Loch Ness monster, sky-diving and inter-celebrity rowing. And he's not just standing there talking about some slides: the comic attention to detail that figured heavily in his last two Fringe shows resurfaces, in pointless number-plate games and the memorisation of fifty consecutive dates: names and locations, of course. If there's a weakness, it's that you never really doubt that he's going to succeed - even if one task still requires the assistance of Germaine Greer.
