Richard Herring - Hitler Moustache
Avalon Promotions
Spending three months with a toothbrush moustache (or the Hitler moustache, as it's better known) in the name of comedy is an impressive sign of Herring's dedication to his work. The effort that has gone into this show should be applauded, from the provision of detailed programmes to the small gift of a stick-on Hitler moustache. Although Herring claims he just wants to win back the toothbrush moustache, originally worn by Charlie Chaplin, for comedy, the real reason behind this theme is revealed when he gets onto the subject of the BNP. Bringing a serious political message into a comedy show won't always go down well, but with such a worthy cause in this case he gets away with it.
