Got my Covid vaccine booster today. And a flu shot thrown in for free. Actually both were free. There were signs saying you couldn't have the vaccine if you'd had Covid in the last month, but what if you'd been asymptomatic and didn't know? Would the vaccine booster kill you?
I had a slight cold but didn't mention it in case they told me I had to come back later. I can't be the only one. Now I am worried I might turn into a viral supervillain.
The lady doing the spiking asked me which arm I wanted to have which vaccine in. I didn't have a preference. But I guess they can't put them in the same one in case they mix together to create a super virus. I can't get Covid in my left arm and my right arm is impervious to flu. So that's all good.
It's not so bad being over 50. You get the sweet vaccines before all the young idiots.
I had the delight of talking to Adam buxton for another hour today, as he was interviewing me for my book club podcast. For a podcast billionaire (I assume) he has terrible internet connection, but we got through it all even though I had to answer one question knowing that he'd gone off the line.
I was meant to be doing a bit more publicity for the book, which officially comes out on Thursday and had booked in childcare for the evening as Catie was out (is that woman ever in the house? Trouble in paradise?) but then the once sexy Suella Braverman resigned and immediately lost all her allure. I only fancy evil people if they are in the position to do actual damage. Though by resigning she ensured that Vanessa Feltz's show was going to concentrate on that news and so Suella bumped my testicle (which might be a good title for an Edinburgh Fringe show).
I was glad to not have to do the interview. I have done too much talking in the last week and a half and am looking forward to a break (not until after tomorrow though - there's one more interview to do)
I was too exhausted to even play snooker against myself (and as we're on holiday next week, it's a fortnight off  for all the non-commercial podcasts - though RHLSTP has eps in the podcast silo and will NEVER END).
In November I am going to start looking after myself better and keep work to a minimum - oh though I am doing a new bollock podcast and there's now a couple of stand up gig in for that.
I want to think a little bit about what I write next and maybe getting back into stand up again, but mainly I am going to take it a little bit easier.

RHLSTP with the Socially Distant Sports Bar is now up wherever you get your pods.
Joining Joe Lycett on RHLSTP on 14th November will be Mathew Baynton and Jim Howick from off of Ghosts. It's sold out but you can add your name to the waiting list here
