Warming Up

By soap standards it's been an uneventful Christmas at the Herrings. No serial killers preying on the elderly, no stalkers, no-one hit by a car, not even any arguments or raised voices (except when my mother had had a drink, but her voice just raised in volume, not in anger), no fights, no lovers' tiffs. No death. No disaster.
Even by real life standards we've been pretty lucky.
Let's hope our Christmases are always so peaceful. Excitement is over-rated I think.
