Jesus Christ is it still lockdown? How am I keeping this blog going with so little happening?
At least it's not Thursday for once.
It's got a bit easier with Phoebe at school Wednesday to Friday. Except that a girl turned up at school with a temperature today and the whole class had to go home and not come back in for a week. Great that they are that on top of things, slightly scary that this has happened so fast. The family involved will all get tested (though it sounds like it's something else) but it was a little warning shot about how even this limited return to normality might turn round and bite us on the bum. A lot of people are acting like we've beaten this, but the virus is still there and is still going to devastate a proportion of the people who get it.
Worse than that though is we had to look after both our kids for most of the day.

I researched my guest for tonight's RHLSTP and did a zoom call with a young man doing a study of the effect that lockdown is having on the comedy industry and then failed to make any progress with the book again. I gave up and did child care instead.

I am left wishing that I could get as much joy as they do from just running round and round in a very small circle. When does that become boring? And why? What could be better? They do it alone. They do it together. They don't care. I gave it a try. Didn't get it.

RHSLTP with Bill Burr is up
