Quickest way to zero emissions is to treble current emissions. The more emissions we can get out now the quicker we'll get to zero. You can do it world leaders.

An episode of Albert and Me was playing on 4Extra when I was driving the kids to school. It was all about Richard Beckinsale's character going into hospital for an operation and worrying he was going to die and what that would mean for his baby. It seemed a bit on the nose given Beckinsale would die a couple of years later, which added an extra poignancy to it all and rather dented the comedy of it all. Maybe my own recent brush with my own mortality made it feel a bit too much. He leaves a little message for his fictional baby, that might be nice (or possibly unbearable) for his actual children to hear.

Two days to write 90% of the last script, so what was the best way to start the day? I knocked my coffee over on the kitchen counter and it tsunaumied towards my laptop. The laptop was closed and it mainly went under rather than over it, so I thought I would be OK. But maybe some of it had found it's way through one of the ports as although the computer worked, it had a message telling me to unplug the device that was using too much power (nothing was plugged in) and the laptop wouldn't take charge.

I also couldn't back up the computer because nothing could be plugged in, but I had time to make sure that everything I needed was on the Cloud.

But I needed a computer to write my scripts and managed to dust off an old laptop that I remember being pretty unreliable and which hadn't been turned on for a couple of years. It wasn't up to date and with the software I was using and obviously needed charging. But I could use my IPad too and managed to muddle through.

I couldn't remember the password to log in to the old computer and all the usual suspects did not work. The password clue was "Rich" which didn't jog any memories, so I had to reset the password, which took a little while. Only after I did that did I remember that I'd got annoyed about putting in a 10 character password and had changed it to "Rich" so the clue was actually the password. Clever double bluff and it worked. Past Rich had thought he was being helpful to future me, but he'd just wasted my time with his stupidity. Don't worry that's not my password for any other account, hence the reason that it didn't occur to me.

In spite of all the hassle I managed to get surprisingly far with script 6. It's maybe 80% of the way there and as I took an afternoon bath to percolate ideas I allowed myself to feel quietly confident that I could get this done. It's been
