Last week I had rashly promised to get my cock out if AIOTM sold out this week. It seemed my genitals would remain safely ensconced in their especially constructed pouch, but there were some nervous moments as we headed out to get our dinner to see people already queuing for tickets.
Fortunately for everyone concerned (apart from my bank manager) there were plenty of empty seats. After last week's big crowd we were less than half full this time. But most of the people who had come were enthusiastic. Some of the audience had perhaps stumbled across the show without really knowing what it was. An Asian woman and her 6 year old child were seated towards the back, both wearing face masks, so maybe they were fans and knew that TV's Emma Kennedy had had swine flu recently. The majority had heard the show before, but a sizeable minority were new to it. I was worried that the in jokes might leave them cold or confused.
It all went OK, though I am not sure it was quite as good as the ones from the last couple of weeks, but there's plenty to enjoy there I hope. We had had a worrying moment at the start when the sound desk at the theatre went down and needed to be rebooted. But luckily all was fixed in time.
