Hello everyone,
Edinburgh is over and it all went pretty well in the end. You can see a selection of reviews in the downloads and press section of
http://www.richardherring.com
I am hoping to do a London run of the show at some point, as well as touring it around the country, but only a few dates in for the moment.
I am continuing to do stand up gigs around the country, keep an eye on the gig guide for up to date details, but these are the ones I know about so far:
12th September Edinburgh - Pleasance One 50 minutes stand up
18th September Leicester - Bottle Rocket Comedy Club
26th September University of East Anglia, Norwich 25 minutes stand up
30th September Whitstable - stand up
Check gig guide for more details, some of the info not currently in, but all gigs definitely happening.
On the 10th September at midday I will be opening the Cheddar Big Event in my home town of Cheddar in Somerset. I don't know where the Big Event is being held, but Cheddar is small so get there and just follow the crowds. Who knows what the Big Event will involve? It will have to be seen to be believed.
On the 23rd September I am taking part in three discussions about Shakespeare and comedy at the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon. To book tickets to these events please ring 01789 403492 and visit
http://www.rsc.org.uk for full details. The flyer for the event can be viewed in the downloads section of richardherring.com
I am also recording a poker interview show for the pokerzone channel this month. If you want to be in the audience and see me interviewing people like James Hewitt, Michael Greco and that coughing bloke off of Millionaire, as well as doing some jokes about poker then go to
http://www.pokerzone.tv/headsup.aspx
where you will be able to book tickets.
I will be returning to my stint as newspaper reviewer on the Andrew Collings's show on 6Music, every Sunday at 3pm.
I was on a Radio 4 show called Banter on Tuesday. If you go to
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/index.shtml?logo you should be able to find it on listen again. I haven't heard it yet, but it was fun to do.
This month I am also writing a new comedy drama pilot script for the BBC called "You Can Choose Your Friends..." and I have been commissioned to write my book about poker called "The Poker Joker", which will be published next summer. I am also script editing a stage version of "Grumpy Old Women" which will be playing the provinces in the autumn, starring Jenny Eclair, Linda Robson and Dillie Keane.

Please let me know if you have failed to receive a programme from last time round. A few people didn't send me their address and then things got a bit confusing in Edinburgh. Hopefully all should be well.
No news as yet on the Hercules DVD. The man putting it together has just had a baby and this is eating into his free time. I will let you know when this is available.
Thanks for the continued support, especially to all those of you who came to see me in Edinburgh.
